PARIS 10 Oct Reuters)-The Huffington Post, news and opinion Web site that has an influence on the upstart in journalism in the United States since 2005, developed in France.
Media Group Le Monde, which owns the daily centre-left of the same name, has inked a deal with the Huffington Post Media to create a new French-language web site with an editorial staff, based in France, the parties said Monday.
"Le Huffington Post", as named, will begin before the end of the year with a French website, write up in coming weeks. A search is underway for an editor-in-Chief.
Released no financial details.

The Huffington Post, which was purchased by AOL for 315 million dollars in February, began already international sites in Canada and Britain. Negotiations are underway for a site that will be launched in Brazil, Huffington told Le Monde.
Le Monde launched an online site, www.lepost.fr, 2007, which was designed to be an online portal for citizen journalism and bloggers, with a focus on celebrities. But, the company posted a loss of approximately EUR 1 million (1.4 million dollars) last year, despite attracting approximately 3 million unique visitors per month.
A third partner in the French company Les Nouvelles versions independantes, a holding company of investment banker, Matthieu Pigasse, part owner of Le Monde, together with Pierre Berge, a former associate of designer Yves Saint Laurent, and Internet tycoon Xavier Niel.
